How to reach Banter support, what to include so we can fix it fast, and how to report a security issue.
Stuck? Start with the docs, then email. We review every message sent to the support address.
Email support
Write to [email protected]. Response times vary unless we’ve agreed otherwise. For account or billing questions, email from the address you use to sign in to Banter.
Before you write
- Connecting an AI: follow the MCP setup guide, including its “If it doesn’t connect” section.
- A recording that went wrong: check Recording troubleshooting — most capture problems have a two-line fix.
- Privacy, data access, or deletion requests: see the privacy policy and Privacy and recording.
What to include
A little context lets us reproduce the problem instead of guessing:
- The email address on your Banter account
- Where it happened: web app, browser extension, desktop app, iOS app, or an AI client connected over MCP
- Roughly when, including your time zone — recording problems are often diagnosable server-side from the time alone
- What you did and what you expected to happen
- The exact error message, and a screenshot if it’s safe to share
Never send your password, an access token, an OAuth code, or private recording content in a first message. If we need more to diagnose the problem, we’ll say exactly what and how to share it safely.
Reporting a security issue
If you believe you’ve found a vulnerability, email [email protected] with the subject Banter security report, a clear description, and safe steps to reproduce it. Please don’t access other users’ data, disrupt the service, or publish the issue before we’ve had a reasonable chance to investigate.
Policies
Use of Banter is governed by the Terms of Service; the Privacy Policy explains how information is collected, used, and protected.
