Quick start

Capture your first conversation and see what Banter does with it — right in the browser, nothing to install.

Banter’s core loop is simple: record a conversation, get a speaker-labeled transcript next to your notes, then hand the whole thing to AI. You can run the loop end to end in about two minutes.

What you need

  • A Banter account (app.usebanter.ai)
  • Chrome or Edge for shared audio; available audio sources depend on your browser and operating system

Capture your first conversation

  1. Open a note — any note. Recordings live inside notes, so whatever note is open is where the recording lands.
  2. Click the microphone button in the editor toolbar.
  3. Pick a source:
    • Microphone — just you talking, or people in the room with you.
    • System audio + microphone — you’re in an online meeting. In the browser’s share picker, choose Entire screen and turn on Share system audio. This captures your computer’s audio and your microphone.
  4. Talk for 30 seconds.
  5. Click the microphone again to stop.

The recording uploads and, a few minutes later, the note has a full transcript with speaker labels and timestamps, plus a summary.

Now ask your AI about it

Press Cmd+L (Ctrl+L on Windows) to open the assistant and try:

Draft a follow-up email from this note.

The assistant reads the transcript and note, drafts the email, and cites what it used — every claim links back to the note or transcript line it came from.
